Kaymakli Underground City is 20 km (12 mile) far to Nevsehir centurum. Kaymakli village 4 floors of this 8-floor underground city are opened to visit. That is to say, you can visit the underground city with total depth of 40 m until the 4th floor of 20 m depth.

In addition to the animal shelter on the 1st floor, there are small rooms constructed for daily life and a church. On the 2nd floor, there is a church with an adjoining graveyard. 3rd floor of the city is larger and has fresher atmosphere compared to others. On this floor which is used as cellar, there are many partitions to store wine, wheat and flour. Wine making areas and kitchen are also located on this floor. Redundancy and development of the production, exploitation and storage areas on the 4th floor prove that residents of the underground city maintained their daily works on the earth surface later in the underground as well.

Although not totally uncovered, richness of the found parts indicates that this city was one of the most populated underground cities. It is possible to access this city through a tunnel from every house in the village and some parts are still used as cellar, store and barn by the local people, which looks really interesting.

1ST FLOOR

In addition to the parts used as animal shelter, there are small rooms for daily life and a church.

2ND FLOOR

The church on this floor is a single-nave and two-abscissa structure. In front of the abscissas, there is baptistery and sitting platforms on the edges. There is also a graveyard near the church.

3RD FLOOR

The most important parts of the city are located on this floor. This floor which is used as cellar for foodstuff is larger and fresher compared to the other floors. There are many partitions to store wine, wheat and flour. Wine making areas and kitchen are also located on this floor

4TH FLOOR

Besides winery and cellars, there are places for jars. Redundancy and development of the production, exploitation and storage areas of this floor prove that residents of the underground city maintained their daily works on the earth surface later in the underground as well.  Kaymaklı underground city is not totally uncovered. Richness of the found parts indicates that this city was one of the most populated underground cities.
