Cukuroren Underground City is 44 km (27 mile) far to Aksaray centurum. Cukuroren Underground City, which is located in Gulpinar district of Gulagac town,  is characterized by being the biggest underground city of the Cappadocia Region.  The underground city, which appears quite magnificent with its eight storeyed structure, was used in the late Roman, Seljukian and Ottoman periods.

In the first and second layers of the underground city, there are churches, linseed oil houses, places for grape juice making animal shelters, meeting rooms, storehouses and water wells; and in the 3-4-5 and 6th layers reached by passages and tunnels, however, there are large and small rooms.
