Bartin city 564 km (350 mile) to Cappadocia and 443 km (275 mile) away from Istanbul. Bartın located in north  part of Turkey. 80 kms east of Zonguldak is Bartin, the comely city of timbered houses which has the remains of a Roman road.

The Bartin River passing through the city gives way to boat trips in the city to catch a glimpse of perfect landscape.

This lovely city hosts strawberry festivals in spring. The city also has beaches of good quality. Inku m, a lovely setting with a holiday village and other facilities, has sandy beaches. Carkaz, is a fishing village which has an excellent beach while at Kurucasile fishing boats are built. Amasra was founded in 6th-century BC and its ancient name was Sesamos. It is one of the highest spots on the Black Sea Coast which displays unimaginable, fascinating beauties while travelling through. The city is located on a peninsula and the eastern side is especially good for swimming. The archaeological museum and Cekiciler Street are of interest, too. As a souvenir you may purchase hand-carved, wooden articles.

Bartin has few hotels.They are; Buyuk Liman Otel, Seymen Otel etc.

The multi varied and delicious Bartin meals are majorly composed of meals with meat, vegetable, milk, pastry and meals cooked with olive oil. These meals are accompanied with pilaf, soup and desert varieties. Cesmi Cihan, When Fatih Sultan Mehmet conqueror took the city in 1485 he look to the city and he said that this is “Cesmi Cihan ” which means literally ” the eye of the world” and this restaurant take the saying of the conqueror as the name of the restaurant. Superb view to the beach and the seafood is tasty. Canli Balik, Canli Balik means “fish alive” this is one of the right place to eat sea food in a small fisherman city You can try the calamaris and please dont miss the “kalkan” if you are there in the rightseason ( february -may) Kalkan is the “turbo” ans be sure that you are eating the best “turbo” of the world.The right way to eat is with your hands!
