İznik Museum is 75 km (46 mile) far to Bursa centurum. The historical Nilüfer Hatun soup kitchen that has been founded at the Ottoman period serves as a museum today. It was built by the order of Ottoman Sultan Murad the 1st, in memoir of his mother Nilüfer Hatun at 1388. Used for various purposes after the foundation of the Republic, the building serves as a museum since 1960.
Archeological remnants and pieces from Iznik and surroundings are being exhibited in the museum.
