Forestry Museum is 6 km (3 mile) far to  Bursa centurum. It is the first and only forestry museum of Turkey. It is situated at the Çekirge Street inside the building known as the Saatci Mansion and  opened in 1989. There are almost 2.000 objects exhibited in the two floored museum. It includes especially animal and plant fossils, devices of communication and forest engineering, maps and photographs,  and documents concerning history of forestry. There is a crosssection of a tree reminiscent of a human figures fossils of 250 million years. Especially the leaf of a plane tree on sedimentary stratum of 8 million years are to be seen. This building which is one of the special pavilions of Bursa is also famous for clover  shaped fountain from which water flows through a lion’s mouth, bower, large terraces and the pleasantly breezy garden.
