Didyma Archaeological Museum is 104 km (64 mile) far to Aydin centurum. The temple that is impressive with its gigantic size was gradually constructed in various periods, but could never be completed. The construction of the archaic temple was supposedly initiated in mid-6th century BC. The construction of the Hellenistic temple was started after the victory of Alexander the Great over Persians, but the ruins indicate that this Hellenistic temple also remained unfinished. The temple and the ancient city of Miletus were connected by a sacred way for religious ceremonies.
