Antandros Archaeology Site is 88 km (54 mile) far to Balikesir centurum. Antandros is in Balıkesir and North of Edremit an important city of Troas. Antandros manages the way which connect Mysia and Aiolis to Troas, on the skirt of Kaletaşı Hill and east of Kaletaşı Hill. Excavations at this citadel on the south shore of the Edremit Gulf near Altınoluk have been undertaken by Gürcan Polat from Ege University since 2001. Remains have been found ranging from 6th century BC to Late Roman.As in previous years work took place in three areas at the site: the Late Roman villa (Slope House or Yamaç Ev), the settlement and the necropolis. The three are aligned along the shore from east to west respectively.
