Aciksaray Ruins is 21 km (13 mile) far to Nevsehir centurum. 3 km far from Gulsehir, Aciksaray Ruins are an important bishopric center with rock graves of Roman period carved in the tuff rocks and rock churches of 9th and 10th century. “Pedestal rocks” which have become a symbol for Gulsehir are also located in this area.

Beside the multi-floor underground cities and inns constructed during the first ages, the other must-see areas are as follows: Bogali Church, Monastery, Tavla (At Dami), Kucuk Saray (Multi-storey Residential Area), Four Columns Monastery, Cradle Vaulted Structure, Twelve  Columns Church and Merdivenli R.

Nowadays, Aciksaray Ruins are mostly preferred for trekking activities. It is also a cultural and sports ce nter with its 7-km race track covering the Cat Valley.
