St. Catherine Chapel is 17 km (10 mile) far to Nevsehir centurum. It is located between the Dark Church and Sandal Church. It has a free-cross nave and narthex. The central bay is covered by a dome and the cross arms are barrel-vaulted. Its apse is closed by a templon. The narthex has nine floor graves and two arcosolia (burial niches) Only in the nave of the chapel are some decorations with figures. The pendentives are decorated with geometric figures and carvings. Churches and chapels are constructed by donations at that time. The Chapel of St. Catherine, built by a donor named Anna in the name of St. Catherine who is said to teach Christianity to the most student.

Pendentive: In architecture, a triangular segment of a spherical surface, filling in the upper corners of a room, in order to form, at the top, a circular support for a dome.
