Sarica Church is 21 km (13 mile) far to Nevsehir centurum. In the Byzantine architecture, it is one of our important churches built as the mixture of closed Greek cross whose first examples were encountered in the 9th century and the three leaved clover plan scheme.

Kepez Church, which is also called “Sarica Church” (Yellow Church) due to the fact that the dominant color in the region is yellow, is in the south east of Ortahisar, approximately 4 km from the town. Kepez Churches, called with this name because they are in a location called Kepez location by the people of the town, are located in the plain of Kepez Valley, and two of which are on the same rocky hill, and the others on rocky hills independent from one another.
