Pigeon Valley is 8 km (5 mile) far to Nevsehir centurum. With 4100 meter length, it is the longest valleys of the Cappadocia’s valleys. In its west edge Uchisar Castle is founded. The pigeonries which name the valley are founded the east side of the valley. The pigeonries leaved in the valley ‘s bottom during walking , do the honors to pigeons for centuries. as well as the using of the pigeon’s fertilizer in vine yards and gardens in order to increase soil yield, the pigeon’s eggs were used as mixture materials for fresco.

The other important features of the valley is that the sluices, made for preserving the fruits against floodwaters are ideal places in order to cool in summers months. In Pigeon Valley, which has a fertile vegetation, there is a 15 meter length cataract which most people do not know and keeps out walking track.
